Join us for a hands-on Chainsaw Safety and Training Seminar designed to help volunteers get prepared during the “blue sky days” — before disaster strikes. This event combines classroom instruction and practical, hands-on experience to help you learn how to safely and effectively use chainsaws in disaster relief and cleanup situations.

Proper chainsaw operation and maintenance
Safety techniques and best practices
How to serve effectively during disaster response
What to Bring
Certified chaps and eye protection are required. (Chainsaws will be provided)
About the Instructor
Training will be led by Kenton Hunt, a disaster relief leader and board member of the PA VOAD with years of experience in volunteer coordination and chainsaw safety.
This is a non-certification course, but participants will leave equipped and confident to serve on future disaster relief deployments.
